Hurricanes and climate change

Abate, aberration, abeyance, abhor, desultory

It is nothing new the fact that hurricanes are becoming more unpredictable; formation speed and wind’s force is now more difficult to predict than before, leaving authorities wondering if there is a need to review all preparation standards to face these type of events.

It was expected that the winds force will abate once the hurricane touched land, and the time since development from a depression to a hurricane, where enough to allow safe preparations and evacuations in the affected areas.

But, as recent storms had demonstrated, aberrations of hurricane's normal development theories are in place more and more. In general, more than 72 hours were required to communicate the event and evacuate people from targeted areas. Now, hurricane Ida was formed and become a category 4 hurricane in 72 hours, sustaining winds force for hours after reaching land. With a slow traveling speed, dumping rain and winds in selected areas with the more subsequent damage.

All these events highlight the suspicion that climate change enforcement plans are in abeyance, waiting as always for politicians to react to situations when it is too late. That is why all environmental activists abhor the fact to be depending on lawmakers to fix or implement new rules to protect cities and rural areas from the changes in habitat conditions.

If politicians think that current desultory preparations are enough, they will better look at current events to revamp their policies on the matter and stand up to the challenges that the changes are imposing on affected populations.

A trip to the cottage and beer....

A trip to the cottage is always an adventure. Several unexpected activities will lead to experiment sensations never imagined. Sometimes these encounters with nature and the corresponding rewards are different pending the personality and user customs. For example, the indiscriminate use of beer and alcoholic beverages will reduce the effects and outputs of the event, as your senses will be compromised. Will be necessary to exhibit bravery avoiding the enhancement of the senses expected from the use of alcohol. It can be possible that your beliefs can be changed, giving different properties to regular, normal objects or things. For example, the unexpected visit of a wolf can be welcomed as coming from a domesticated animal, like let’s say a cow , with very different outcomes and possible not very pleasant consequences. On the other hand, the experience can be remembered as a hilarious situation to be referenced always in the future as amazing or funny.
