One of the main
tasks for meetings course directing, is to
obtain convergence in opinions with out
much compromise between the participants. Diligent
chairs at facilitating, will encourage clarity in the facts presentation for
the benefit of all.
It is of the same
importance to avoid the discredit of ideas or
positions between different
orientations, with out a proper and through debate. Any attendant showing disdain for colleagues opinions should be challenged immediately, if its possible, encouraging these parties to consider these type of attitudes
as negative input for the benefit of the meetings.
Divergent point
of views, may exist, leaving to the
moderator only the option to
highlight in detail the differences as a first step to issues
resolution. Encouraging the participants
to emulate this behavior in successive meetings until an agreement is
reached will be a good strategy for success.
